Tom's Waistline Challenge

Sponsor Tom Winnifrith to be less Fat and help Project Woodpecker

Tom Winnifrith’s day job is as a share tipster helping his readers on www.t1ps.com gain pounds. Sadly he too has gained a few pounds over the years and now weighs in at 19 stones and 9 pounds. He admits that this is a disgrace and is keen to lose some of the weight he has put on since he was a lean, mean rugby player a few years ago (at 13 stone 8).

Too many City lunches and an ongoing battle to stop smoking have taken their toll on Tom’s waistline. But the battle is now on. Tom has pledged to lose weight to help Woodlarks. Tom has been an active supporter of the work of Woodlarks Warden Nick Richards for a number of years and will be contacting all his readers and City contacts over the coming months to sponsor his drive to get his weight back to 15 stone 7 pounds by December 20th.  If he does not raise enough money for project Woodpecker with this campaign Tom threatens a second diet post Christmas with an even lower target.

This target might seem a little ambitious but desperate situations (Tom’s waistline) call for drastic action and, above all, Tom is determined to get Project Woodpecker off to a flying start.

Tom Winnifrith will post a weekly update on his website www.t1ps.com marking his progress.

See who has donated so far. If anyone wants to donate money based on how much weight he loses by the 20th December (eg. £5 per pound lost) please send an e-mail to this address with the details and it will be added to the website. Alternatively donate money using the Charity Choice button.

PERSONAL MESSAGES

STOP PRESS - MESSAGE FOR TOM

Tom, you have a major new sponsor!!! Jamie Burgess has at long last remembered the code to the padlock on his wallet (fortunately, he had enough WD40 to loosen the hinges as well) and has decided to sponsor you for 50p per pound lost. He had considered more but he became very pale and started to run a fever at the thought, so he decided against that idea! However, he does want you to know that he still considers your victory at Chess during your visit to Woodlarks earlier this year to have been as lucky as West Ham staying in the Premiership. After much consideration and in depth discussions with a financial advisor, Jamie is prepared to double his sponsorship to you when (and only when) Charlton return to their rightful place in the Premiership and West Ham take the drop. Jamie must be very confident that one of the teams will fail, but he is not saying which!!! Jamie wants to wish you the very best of luck with your diet and he would like to thank you for your support of Woodlarks.

Jamie Burgess with Tom

Jamie Burgess (a keen Woodlarker) and Tom have been friends for some years now. The photograph above shows Tom in his slightly leaner days when he was so prominent in getting the funding for Jamie's communication aid. In fact Tom's involvement was so successful we are currently using the surplus funds to purchase Jamie a replacement system, that is more technically advanced. This will allow Jamie to be able to operate items such as the TV, front door and lighting. Tom, Jamie is proud to now sponsor you for another great cause.
